Danny Feingold

Danny is communications director at LAANE and the publisher of Capital and Main. He has led LAANE’s communications efforts for the past decade. He has attracted national media attention for numerous LAANE projects, including the successful effort to stop Wal-Mart from building a superstore in Inglewood and the drive to bring living wages to hotel workers in Santa Monica. Before coming to LAANE, Danny worked as a journalist for the L.A. Times, the LA Weekly and the LA View, writing feature stories on political figures such as Al Gore, Jesse Jackson and Jerry Brown as well as artists including Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Rickie Lee Jones and Bobby McFerrin. He is the author of a book on fertility, and has contributed as a writer or editor to several volumes on alternative health. In 2009, Danny was appointed to the regional council of the Progressive Jewish Alliance. He lives in Atwater Village with his lovely wife, Mara.
